Today we will tell you about a unique street food in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, which is delicious to eat. Along with this, the method of making it is also quite unique. This street food is known as Moonglet.
Deepak Kumar, the director of Moonglet Shop, told that his grandfather had opened this shop in 1970, which he is running today. Also told that he started the work of making moonglets in 2008. While total 19 items are available at the shop, out of which the moonglet here is the most famous.
How to make Moonglet
According to Deepak Kumar, the operator of Moonglet Shop, it is actually a new version of Cheela and Pizza. Butter is first put in a frying pan. After it is heated, the paste of moong dal prepared in some vegetables, sweet corn, finely chopped onions and capsicum is poured into the frying pan. After this it is cooked well. As soon as the moonglet starts turning red, it is tossed in the air. That’s why even though it is chilla, it becomes thick like pizza. It is little spicy. After frying from both sides, this moonglet is served with red chutney made of dates and sour-spicy chutney made of green chillies, coriander etc.
